RE: cheat_training_group Cheat Training Wed 3/21

This is tough to wait until 5 or 6pm for Cheat – I wish we could meet at 3pm today!  The snow is beautiful!

Hi Cheat Training (not elite :)

Finally! The weather has adjusted and we have our usual, wonderful spring conditions to appropriately challenge us. When we run the Cheat we must be flexible, strong and mentally tough. We must drive down slippery hills and park in lots that we aren't sure we will ever escape. There is nothing like a cold, snowy day on the Potomac to work on these skills.

We will hold the attainment tomorrow. If you can make it, Yay! If not, that's OK. Either way, know there is nothing as beautiful as snow in the gorge and ice on your eyelashes.

Turn around time will be 7:20. Please meet in the eddy below wet bottom. From here you will have the chance to paddle your arms off while being humiliated simultaneously by 14 year olds, 72 year olds, and people who learned to kayak last summer.

Due to the weather and potentially fewer participants we will push the forward stroke video session to the following week.

Drive safely and hope to see you tomorrow!

Best,

Ashley McEwan
