[WardFive] Fw: [Brookland] THIS Saturday, don't miss Community Forklift's Spring Soiree & Garden Sale

FYI. Former Commissioner Jim Shulman started Community Forklift I believe in the early 2000's.  Has grown tremendously with quality products.  You will be impressed with the cost savings.  See below.

Say goodbye to winter, and kick off the spring home & garden season at your favorite thrift store for home improvement and architectural salvage.

Community Forklift's 4th Annual Garden Party
THIS Saturday, March 23, 2013, 9am-5:30pm
4671 Tanglewood Drive, Edmonston MD 20781
(Our huge warehouse is just ten minutes north of Brookland. Find directions at http://www.communityforklift.org/)

THE SALE:
Doors open at 9am. We'll have lots of gently-used lawn & garden tools & supplies for sale (while supplies last). We are also launching a new partnership with ECO City Farms, our neighbors here in Edmonston – so they'll have compost, herb baskets, and vegetable plant seedlings for sale!

We were featured in Adrian Higgin's gardening column in the Washington Post today, so it's gonna be busy! If you're a serious bargain-hunter, then you should:
* arrive early for the best selection
* wear comfy shoes, and
* bring a friend to chat with, in case the checkout line gets long!

THE PARTY:
Wear your best costume! Two-legged and four-legged attendees are encouraged to come in garden party attire – wear your fanciest hat, vintage dress, or seersucker suit. Or, you can come in your favorite gardening gear – well-worn overalls and muddy boots. ALL animals must be on leashes.
