-- The Cheat Race registration webpage is now open, and - amazingly enough - it all works perfectly. You have to fill out an online form with your info, boat type and length, and the name of a team if you are on a team. And, you can pay with paypal online.
The advantage of registering early is that you have a better chance of getting the t-shirt size that you actually ask for (extra important for everyone smaller than a XXL).
I registered with the team name "LAKS Speed" and we plan to race with a steady pace, but provide some guidance and support for each other as we race together. Any and all LAKS Cheat Training folks are welcome to join. What we "LAK" in speed we will make up for in enthusiasm and a safe, fun, and successful race run!
For the LAKS Speed team, i'm sorry but any friends and friends-of-friends that have not been training with us, have never run the river, and are looking for a group to join are NOT welcome - sorry. It is unfair to those of us that have been training together and want to keep up a reasonably good speed. Thanks for your respect for this request.
