I'd like to express major kudos and thanks to Ms. Vaughn-Lee and officers Hamilton and Tate for leading a very successful cleanup of Bladensburg road, Trinidad and Carver Langston this morning!
Volunteers from the local neighborhoods, Annie Ferguson foundation and Fulbright, Cabot cheese and DC water began at 10am this morning at the 7-11 on Bladensburg. Over two hours, we spread across the area and returned with almost 50 (large) bags of trash. On a day that we are celebrating so many things, please join me in celebrating the hard work of the many volunteers and an incredible MPD 5th district team that got the job done this morning, and continues to do so every day, even when we aren't looking.
