[WardFive] Events coming up -Kennedys King Gala- tonight

I hope everyone is doing well.  I want to remind you that tonight is the Kennedys King Gala at the new UDC student center.  If you don't have a ticket, you may still be able to get one at: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/dcdemskennedysking2016.  In addition to all our elected officials in DC, there is an impressive lineup of VIP guests, including Senator Tom Carper (D-DE), who has championed our DC Statehood Bill in the U.S. Senate.

The May edition of our DC Statehood Today newsletter is out already, you can download a copy here: http://www.dc51.us/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DCStatehoodTodayNewsletterMay2016.pdf.

We also have a DC Statehood app for your mobile device (iPhone or Android).  Please visit the App Store or the Play Store and type "DC Statehood" to download it, or navigate to: http://apps.appmakr.com/dc51 from your mobile device to install it.

Lastly, congratulations to Maryland State Senator Jamie Raskin for winning the 8th Congressional District Democratic Primary.  In a crowded race, Senator Raskin competed against BIG money, and won with 34% of the votes.  Senator Raskin is a good DC Statehood ally.

Looking forward to seeing some of you tonight.
