Literary Expo 2016!

It's About Empowerment!

The Federal City Alumnae Chapter's Literary Exposition (Literary Expo) was developed to assist local literary artists in garnering recognition throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan community.  Through networking and a forum for presentation, our program reinforces one of the tenets of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., which is "to support and advance artists, especially African American women, in their efforts to compose, write, direct, choreograph or conceptualize new contributions in their respective fields." This event gives local literary artists an opportunity to showcase their talent to the public-at-large as well as to representatives of various arts organizations.

This year's Literary Expo will be held on:

Saturday, May 14, 2015
RISE Demonstration Center (on St. Elizabeth's campus)
2730 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd SE
Washington, DC 20032
3pm - 6pm
Admission: FREE!

And for this year's theme, "It's about Empowerment!"  Join us to experience how the written and spoken word has the power to empower, inspire, and move mountains!

Hope to see you there!
